Most photography that you find in this category is about visual relationships.  It focuses on the connection between everyday objects and non-everyday objects.  Justaposition is used to take a typically "pretty picture" and combine it with something random.  This way, the viewer is able to compare, contrast, and find beauty in the picture as a whole.  

 

As the two images become one in visual harmony, it brings out the beauty in the random object, where as by itself, may or may not be able to stand alone.  Some photos are split or separate in a sort of "dating" type of way where as in the Remixed section they become one similar to a marriage.
